General Information	SELVA – FREE STANDING SCREENS Free standing screens are designed to insulate against any unpleasant sounds and – similar to how road screens contain noise – they protect against any direct acoustic waves from the sound source. They are particularly suitable for sound insulation between workplaces and noisy office equipment. Specialist laboratory tests prove the effectiveness of Selva screens, which significantly reduce noise (8 dB on average), and the human ear perceives this reduction as almost half the noise. The positive effect of the test was proven by the results of sound attenuation tests of the screens of the Office of the Technical Acoustics Laboratory of the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow according to the standard PN-ISO 10053:2001. By applying additional and specially selected fiber constructions, free-standing screens not only isolate sound, but also absorb it, positively affecting the acoustic parameters inside the room, e.g. they reduce unpleasant sound reflection inside the room. The construction of the ceiling panels is the result of intensive work by Bejot’s design team, based on research carried out by, among others, the Department of Furniture Design at Poznań University of Life Sciences and the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics at AGH University. The positive effect of the test was proven in accordance with the standard PN-ISO 354:2005 by the results of sound absorption tests conducted by the Technical Acoustics Laboratory of the Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustics of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
